Just some of the kupu, overheard at the inaugural Aotearoa Māori Health & Safety Conference 2023... and what a day it was!!
On the 18th of April 2023, Te Rōpū Marutau o Aotearoa (TRMA) hosted the very first conference of its kind internationally, an indigenous look into health and safety. This sold-out event hosted over 345 attendees from around the motu, including large scale commercial entities, iwi & hapu representatives & more from over 150 organisations across Aotearoa.
The sense of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga & mohiotanga were key themes evident during the day, unity in the room was strong and our speakers put emphasis onto kotahitanga & mahitahi, we must all work together collectively to ensure meaningful results for our kaimahi Māori.
