Major Health & Safety Consultation Opens

All workers and their families deserve to have confidence that they will return home safe from work.

The government is seeking consultation on our Work Health and Safety regulatory system, marking 10 years since the introduction of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. We would encourage each of you to make a submission on behalf of your employer and your experiences meeting compliance. Submissions are due by 31 October 2024, 5.00pm. Consultation documents can be found on the MBIE website here.

Te Rōpū Marutau o Aotearoa are making a submission and we would like your input, we have taken a few key questions from the consultation document to get your general view and comments. TRMA will advocate for the integration of Haumaru Tāngata principles and processes, holistic consideration and acknowledgement that contributors to poor health and safety include our entire life, not just work life.
